Sicarios, a game designed to fulfill that fantasy, takes its name from the American Latin term for Hitman or a hired killer. The story revolves around a poor boy named Brena and his dog Rocky, who live in a slum rife with drugs, prostitution, and violence. This story-driven, message-oriented game narrates Brena's survival journey in such an environment. Players are tasked with solving not-too-difficult puzzles to advance through the levels, meeting various characters and exploring different locations.

The game begins with Brena and his unwell dog, Rocky. Seeking advice, Brena approaches his friend's wife, Ana. He notices Ruan, the couple's son, playing football and joins in, showcasing his skills. Following this, Brena is tasked with finding chamomile flowers to help his dog recover. Luiz, Brena's friend, hopes to offer him a better life and introduces him to his boss, Davi, at a bar. During their conversation, which Brena cannot comprehend, Davi mentions a Hitman. Luiz later explains that he and Davi commit crimes for rewards. Their main mission is to eliminate a man named Botu and deliver his bag to Davi. With no leads on Botu, Brena gathers information at the market and learns that Botu will visit Carla, a local prostitute. They execute their mission, but Luiz decides to keep the stash bag instead of returning it to Davi. Disagreeing, Brena confronts Luiz, resulting in a fatal altercation. Brena chooses to give the reward to Luiz's family and returns to his normal life. This unique story, featuring multiple languages, is brought to life with hand-drawn animations and realistic music.
